Romulus Middle School Students’ recently visited the Henry Ford Museum and took the Ford Motor Company, Rouge Factory Tour. Students first watched the film Dream Big: Engineering Our World. The focus of the movie was to inspire students into thinking about engineering and designing structures. The movie showed key elements that need to be considered when it comes to the engineering profession. It included the Great Wall of China and the world’s tallest buildings, to underwater robots, solar cars and smart, sustainable cities. Dream Big celebrates the human ingenuity behind engineering marvels big and small, and reveals the heart that drives engineers to create better lives for people around the world. Then Students concluded their factory tour by witnessing real world engineering ideas in action, which included how the F-150 truck is designed and built from the bottom up.
